The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really going ahead.
